The Acme Group of Companies will be showing their agricultural wares at the Cultivate 2014 Show in Columbus Ohio, July 12 – 15, 2014. “We have expanded our agricultural fabrics line substantially, and our offerings to this important market fill some interesting niches.” Stated Matt Utley, Chief Revenue Office of the Acme Group. “Our forward thinking has developed some truly unique products, and innovated some traditional ones.”

Some of the products to be highlighted at the show:
PlugEase is a fabric used in high-production rooting machines utilized by large greenhouses and nurseries. It protects the roots of a newly planted seed and biodegrades once the root system matures. Studies have shown it to run cleaner than traditional rooting fabrics with less fouls and snags that could interrupt production. PlugEase was developed and is manufactured out of Acme’s manufacturing facility in Hillsdale, MI.

Packaging Absorbents are an important component of the farm-to-store cycle. Insuring that excess moisture is controlled to prevent premature spoilage, and Acme’s American-made absorbents have proven themselves an excellent solution, at noticeable cost savings.

Acme’s ground cover and frost protection solution stems from their commitment to the environment and recycling. “We have taken on the challenge of recycling and reusing resources very seriously at Acme,” added Utley. “Our solution consists of dropping off ground cover to our clients, and setting up a schedule for recycling it once its usefulness is served.” This recycling process ends in useable plastic resin that can be used in thousands of products.
