Composites Evolution starts new UK prepreg facility

Composites Evolution, manufacturer of fibres, resins and prepreg intermediates, has now completed the final stage of its move to a new prepreg manufacturing facility in Chesterfield, UK. This marks the start of the next chapter in the company’s journey as a supplier of innovative composite materials for automotive, aerospace, marine and other sectors.

“This exciting development of our business concludes several years of investment in product development and commercialisation. Our production launch products include the Evopreg range of epoxy prepregs for both components and tooling, as well as the ground-breaking PFA-based Evopreg-PFC prepregs that provide exceptional fire performance,” said Dr. Brendon Weager, technical director, Composites Evolution.

“All of these products have been developed by our in-house team for aerospace, automotive, mass transport, construction and motorsport applications,” he added.

As a supplier of innovative materials to the global composites industry, Composites Evolution develops and supplies raw materials that enhance, build and secure competitive composite products in a variety of market sectors, including automotive, motorsport, sporting goods, mass transport and consumer goods.

Its products include fibres, resins and prepreg intermediates based on glass, carbon and bio-derived materials, developed to suit a wide range of composite moulding processes and applications. (RKS)
