Andritz has successfully initiated operations at Nanning Sun Paper's pulp and paper mill in Guangxi Province, China, with a cutting-edge fibreline and lime kiln plant. The project, executed on a full EPS basis, features China's largest high-kappa fibreline (1,600 adt/d capacity) and an energy-efficient lime kiln (450 t/d burnt lime capacity).

France's first automated textile waste sorting and recycling plant, inaugurated at Nouvelles Fibres Textiles, is a collaboration between recycling company Nouvelles Fibres Textiles, waste sorting specialist Pellenc ST, and Andritz. The plant, addressing the EU's sustainable textile goals, automatically sorts garments by composition and colour.

Polygiene launched the Polygiene ShedGuard innovation project at the ISPO trade show, aiming to minimise microfibre loss and improve fabric wear resistance during washing. German company Covestro has introduced Impranil CQ DLU, an aliphatic polyester carbonate polyether polyurethane (PU) dispersion for textile coating with around 34 per cent plant-based carbon content.
