QCO on 19 geotextile products to come into effect from Oct 7 in India

India focuses on technical textile standardisation with a new quality control order (QCO) taking effect in October 2023. Covering 19 different geotextile products, manufacturers will need to obtain a licence to produce for the domestic market, fostering a 100 per cent standard of perfection. The requirement is exempt for the export market.

India’s exports of technical textiles rise to $717 mn in Apr-Jun 2023

In the first quarter of fiscal 2023-24, India saw a modest 1 per cent increase in technical textiles exports, raising the total to ₹5,946 crore ($716.9 million).
