Austria’s Andritz installs tearing line for Portuguese company Sasia

Austria’s technology group, Andritz, has successfully started up its latest-generation tearing line for spinning grade fibres delivered to Sasia at its Ribeirão premises, Portugal. As the first of its kind in Portugal, the machine contains the latest Andritz Laroche innovation for fibre opening, featuring a new-generation pinning configuration.

Origin Materials to invest $750 mn in new manufacturing facility in US

Germany’s Bast Fibre acquires Georgia-Pacific’s Lumberton Cellulose

Bast Fibre Technologies Inc. (BFT), a manufacturer of premium natural fibres, has announced that it has completed its purchase of Georgia-Pacific’s Lumberton Cellulose LLC. US’ INDA appoints new director of government affairs

INDA has named experienced policy advocate Jennifer Greenamoyer as its new director of government affairs to raise the association’s profile in Washington, DC. Greenamoyer brings 25 years of experience at associations, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and on Capitol Hill. Greenamoyer will take on responsibility at INDA from February 22.
