Luxembourg’s CVC Capital Partners to sell AOC

CVC Capital Partners plans to sell AOC, a producer of specialty resins, to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds. The planned transaction is subject to AOC workers' councils consultation and approval from relevant regulatory authorities. AOC sells specialty products for the automotive, marine, corrosion, construction, and infrastructure segments globally.

US firm Continuous Composites closes $17 million series A financing

Continuous Composites, an innovator in the additive manufacturing industry headquartered in the US, has announced the successful closing of its $17 million series A financing led by B. Riley Venture Capital (BRVC), a subsidiary of B. Riley Financial. The latest investment follows prior funding rounds led by strategic partners, Arkema and Saint-Gobain.

Japanese firm Suminoe Textile's FY21 sales fall 13% to ¥79 bn

With lacklustre sales of commercial carpet tiles and wall coverings and drop in domestic and overseas automobile related sales due to global economic slowdown, Suminoe Textile, a Japanese manufacturer and seller of interior products, posted 12.9 per cent fall in its sales to ¥79.7 billion during FY21 ended on May 31, 2021, against ¥91.5 billion in FY20.

US engineered composites firm Albany reports Q2 FY21 sales of $235 mn

Albany International, a US-based manufacturer of engineered components, has reported 4 per cent sales growth to $234.5 million in second quarter (Q2) of FY21 ended on June 30, 2021, compared to $225.9 million in the corresponding period of prior fiscal. The Engineered Composites segment's sales marginally improved to $74.6 million ($72.5 million).
