US brand Cordura collaborates with Daletec for flame-retardant fabric

Invista’s Cordura brand has introduced the latest pioneering development in thermal hazard worker protection from FR fabric specialist Daletec, set to shake up the EU industrial PPE clothing market. The innovative inherent flame-retardant fabric Extreme X with stretch functionality is engineered with Cordura fibre for long-lasting durability.

US firm CSP orders LFT-D line of 2,500-tonne press from Dieffenbacher

Continental Structural Plastics (CSP), a US-based Teijin Group company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of composite components, has announced that it is expanding its facility in Sarepta, Louisiana in the US, with the purchase of an LFT-D line that includes a Dieffenbacher press with a pressing force of 2,500 tonnes (25,000 kN).

Arkema’s bio-based Singapore plant to start production in early 2022

Arkema will start producing Amino 11 and its flagship Rilsan polyamide 11 high performance polymer at its new plant on Jurong Island, Singapore in the first half of next year. Construction of the plant has begun. Production will be 100 per cent-based on renewable castor beans. This will increase Arkema’s global polyamide 11 capacity by 50 per cent.
