Rockline to install new production lines for wet wipes

Rockline Industries will install additional production lines in its three Arkansas-based wet wipes manufacturing facilities. It will spend over $18 million this year for this purpose. Turkey’s medical textile goods exports $1.4 bn in 2020

Turkey's export of medical textile goods reached $1.4 billion last year, according to the Aegean Exporters Association (EIB), which recently said the textile products export sector is recovering. EIB head coordinator Jak Eskinazi said despite the pandemic last year, there was only 8 per cent export loss in textile and raw materials compared with 2019.

RI University team makes bandage that detects infection

Scientists at the University of Rhode Island have devised a continuous, non-invasive way to detect and monitor infections in wounds by embedding nanosensors in the fibres of a bandage. The team has used single-walled carbon nanotubes in the bandage which will be able to identify an infection in the wound by detecting concentrations of hydrogen peroxide.
