Texwipe, a US-based manufacturer of contamination control supplies, will invest more than $4.5 million to locate a manufacturing facility in Mount Airy in in Surry County, generating 33 jobs, North Carolina governor Roy Cooper announced recently. The state’s department of commerce led a team of partners in supporting Texwipe’s expansion decision.

Albany International Corp, a global advanced textiles and materials processing company, reported 21.8 per cent sales decline to $211.9 million in its third quarter (Q3) FY20 ended on September 30, 2020 compared to $271.1 million in same period last year. Net income attributable to the company for the quarter were $29.5 million (Q3 FY19: $40.0 million).

The company, in partnership with Kosan Medical, now will begin sales of personal protective gowns and coveralls in Canada. With the LOI, the Softlab9 gets 100 per cent exclusive rights to distribute isolation gowns, coveralls and other PPP in Canada.
