India to implement QCO on 12 products under protective textiles

India will enforce QCO from October 7 this year to standardise 12 categories of protective textiles, including those offering fire, water, and industrial protection. The order aims to maintain a standard quality for both domestically produced and imported products in the domestic market. However, the guidelines will not affect the export market.

QCO on 19 geotextile products to come into effect from Oct 7 in India

India’s exports of technical textiles rise to $717 mn in Apr-Jun 2023

In the first quarter of fiscal 2023-24, India saw a modest 1 per cent increase in technical textiles exports, raising the total to ₹5,946 crore ($716.9 million).
