France’s Refashion’s Transport WG develops nonwovens from used textile

Refashion has developed a high-performance insulating nonwoven made from post-consumer clothing for the transport sector through its Transport Nonwovens WG. The WG has identified four key stages, including identifying feedstock sources, pre-feasibility tests, characterising resulting products, and technical-economic assessment, to develop the nonwoven.

Sweden’s Essity becomes 1st to create tissue with renewable hydrogen

Hygiene and health company Essity has made another breakthrough on its journey towards net-zero emissions by 2050. In a recently concluded pilot, the Swedish company became the first company in the industry to produce tissue in a CO2 emission-free production process using renewable hydrogen at its production facility in Mainz-Kostheim, Germany.

Monadnock Non-Wovens, a leader in the manufacture of melt-blown roll goods, has launched the next generation of E-CTFE filtration media. It has designed and developed HTAC, a product that significantly extends the performance and life of liquid filtration systems. HTAC is a uniform E-CTFE melt-blown copolymer with very high chemical and fire resistance.
