US’ P&G reports net sales of $20.8 bn in Q2 FY23

American multinational consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) has reported net sales of $20.8 billion, a decrease of 1 per cent year-on-year (YoY), in the second quarter (Q2) of financial year 2023 (FY23), ended December 31, 2022. The company’s operating cash flow was $3.6 billion, and net earnings were $4 billion for the quarter.

Japan’s Fujitsu & Teijin to use recycled carbon fibre in bicycles

Japan’s Fujitsu and Teijin have announced the launch of a project running from January to March 2023 to enhance the environmental value of recycled resources in the production of bicycle frames with V Frames, a German manufacturer of carbon fibre reinforced plastic bicycle frames, and E Bike Advanced Technologies, a German manufacturer of bicycles.

US’ Braskem to produce carbon negative bio-based polypropylene

Braskem, the largest polyolefins producer in the Americas and global producer of biopolymers on an industrial scale, has announced a project to evaluate an investment in producing carbon negative bio-based polypropylene (PP) in the US. The project would utilise Braskem’s proven, proprietary technology to convert bioethanol into bio-based polypropylene.
