BASF, a German chemical company, has announced that as part of its “Helping Hands” campaign to fight corona pandemic, BASF is donating 100 million protective masks to the Federal Republic of Germany. BASF is also donating 1 million masks to the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. The first delivery of masks is expected at Frankfurt Airport by next week.

Basf has unveiled Elastopan polyurethane for Mizuno's new training footwear. The shoes are meant to improve balance and athletic performance. The high-performance material solution enables Mizuno's Centre of Balance (COB) technology that transmits information to the soles of the feet through activation bumps moulded into the surface of the midsole.

BASF and its partner BNP Brinkmann are collaborating with the German Aerospace Centre on its research project "Next Generation Car (NGC)". A new aqueous acrylic binder for nonwovens is now available which meets high thermo-dimensional stability requirements.
