Multiple nonwovens product sectors in China are growing with immense potential for the future. This has been concluded after the success of the China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE), held during June 21-23, 2017 in Shanghai. The show showcasing products from 100 exhibitors was attended by 3,977 trade buyers from 16 countries and regions.

The recently held Techtextil, a leading technical textiles and nonwovens fair, and the Texprocess, international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials, proved to be a huge success, with a record number of over 33,670 visitors from 104 countries. A new record was also set on the exhibitor side with 1,477 companies from 55 countries.

Techtextil India is gearing up to expand its scope in the garment machinery segment through the launch of Texprocess Pavilion. The fair will begin from 13 September, 2017. Support from VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies for this initiative will exemplify the potential for trade and technology transfer between Indian and German companies.

Techtextil North America 2017 will focus on functional textiles, nonwovens, smart textiles in connected cars, technology, equipment and much more. It will be held in Chicago from June 20-22, 2017. The event will once again be hosting a co-location with JEC Group and their show The Future of Composites in Construction on the same show floor.

The fair honours students for innovations on building with textiles and textile-reinforced materials.

Without having completed a dizzying astronaut training programme, visitors will be able to take a journey through space to Mars via virtual-reality glasses at this year's Techtextil and Texprocess exhibitions during May 9-12, 2017, being organised by Messe Frankfurt in cooperation with the European Space Agency and the German Aerospace Centre.

The China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE) will return for its second edition in 2017 with an earlier date in the calendar to better suit the industry's needs. Scheduled from June 21-23, it has been brought forward to June due to suggestions from key stakeholders. The expo and forum allow for in-depth engagement of entire nonwovens industry.

Till date, 750 companies from 39 countries have booked exhibition space at the trade fair for technical textiles, Techtextil 2017 which opens its doors from May 9, 2017 and will grow in comparison to the prior edition. Around 15 per cent of these exhibitors will be exhibiting for the first time or returning to Techtextil after a period of absence.
