Finnish manufacturer Suominen Corporation has completed the consultation procedure concerning its plan to permanently close manufacturing at its Mozzate plant in Italy. The closure will result in the termination of employment for 54 employees, with an estimated one-off expense of €2.3 million to be recognised in the second quarter of 2023.

PFNonwovens has signed the order acceptance for the complete end-of-line provided for the new Reicofil R5 line at the company's Hazleton plant in Pennsylvania. Turkiye’s Lotus Teknik Tekstil A.S. has installed a state-of-the-art neXline wetlace CP line from tech group Andritz to produce biodegradable, plastic-free wet wipes. The new line combines wetlaid and spunlace technologies. The sustainable wipe, which is called Newipe, has high strength, softness, low lint rate, and a lower carbon footprint.
