US’ Rocket Lab to launch NASA’s advanced composite electron rocket

Rocket Lab, a leader in launch services and space systems headquartered in the US, has announced that it has been selected to launch NASA’s Advanced Composite Solar Sail System, or ACS3, on the electron launch vehicle. Rocket Lab delivers reliable launch services, spacecraft components, satellites and other spacecraft and on-orbit management solutions.

US’ Tethis & Agromousquetaires develop fully-compostable diaper

Agromousquetaires, through its Cellulose de Brocéliande subsidiary, a major French diaper producer, has made public a key collaboration with North Carolina-based materials producer, Tethis, which aims to bring the first known compostable diaper to market. Tethis, which is based in the US, makes novel plant-based, degradable super absorbents products.

US’ Baker Hughes & Primus Line to make non-metallic pipe applications

Scientists from the University of Utah and Gyeongsang National University in South Korea have developed a bioelectrical sensor which is convenient to use and is also low-cost. The biosensor is integrated onto a piece of clothing. This brings advantages beyond convenience and comfort. Soft clothing means better contact with the skin and a better signal.
