Japanese chemical company Asahi Kasei has collaborated with Genomatica, Inc., regarding hexamethylenediamine (HMD) based on biomass-derived raw material (bio-HMD). Asahi Kasei currently uses fossil fuel–derived HMD as an intermediate to manufacture Leona polyamide 66, an engineering plastic featuring outstanding heat resistance and rigidity.

Sicomin will supply its GreenPoxy 33 resin to produce Decathlon’s new JIB and Block wakeboards that will be manufactured at Meditec, the specialist composite board manufacturer based in Tunisia. Sicomin is a formulator and manufacturer of advanced epoxy systems.
