US’ Domtar announces CEO transition plan

US’ Domtar, a provider of fibre-based products, has announced that president and CEO John Williams will retire on June 30, 2023. Additionally, to continue Domtar’s forward momentum, Steve Henry, senior vice president of packaging, has been appointed to the role of executive vice president (EVP) and chief operating officer (COO) effective immediately.

US’ Hanes Geo Components to buy Canada-based company Nilex Inc

American manufacturer and supplier of geosynthetic and environmental products Hanes Geo Components has reached an agreement to acquire Edmonton-based geotextile distributor Nilex Inc and its wholly owned subsidiary Nilex USA Inc. Freudenberg installs photovoltaic panels on Nantong factory roof

Finland’s Ahlstrom reports 29.3% increase in net sales of Q3 FY22

Finland’s manufacturer of fibre-based products Ahlstrom has posted 29-per cent growth in net sales to €867.1 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2022, ended September 30, 2022. The company’s comparable EBITDA improved to €120 million in Q3 FY22, representing 13.8 per cent of net sales, compared to €82.7 million in the corresponding period of FY21.
