US bioengineers invent mattress that makes body fall asleep faster

Bioengineers at the University of Texas in the US have built a mattress and pillow system, which can trigger sleep by manipulating body temperature. As sleep is possible when body temperature lowers at night as part of the 24-hour rhythm, the new mattress stimulates the body to trigger feelings of sleep using heating and cooling functions.
