Kimberly-Clark Corporation has announced that Ehab Abou-Oaf, currently managing director of Kimberly-Clark's Middle East and Africa business, has been named president, Kimberly-Clark Professional. Abou-Oaf will be responsible for Kimberly-Clark's business-to-business operations globally, and report to Mike Hsu, chairman and chief executive officer.

Russian company ArcticTex has launched a climbing jacket made with OCSiAI’s graphene nanotubes. The jacket got heated up in 40 seconds during tests on Mount Everest. Each jacket contains around 10 milligrams of nanotubes. It turns the fabric into a heating element. OCSiAI, based in Luxembourg, is a leading manufacturer of single wall carbon nanotubes.

Vietnam’s Dony, a garment manufacturer in the country, has launched the Dony protective coverall designed to provide all-around protection to healthcare workers. The garments offer head-to-toe protection with ease and comfort. The coverall and gowns are made from breathable material. Also, their premium antibacterial cloth mask is washable and reusable.

Ireland’s Aran Biomedical has expanded its weaving capabilities to include the condensing of high-density woven fabric. It combines Aran’s existing compression techniques with dense woven fabric, allowing for the same material characteristics despite the thickness being reduced by 50 per cent. Aran specialises in medical implant product solutions.

Nice-Pak International, which produces wipes for global brands and retailers, has been working with customers to cut out plastic from more than 60 per cent of its products, up from less than 10 per cent in 2018. The UK-based manufacturer is heading towards a plastic-free future, having removed more than 15,000 tonnes in the last three years.
