NCC, Dstl research combat aircraft composite structures

The National Composites Centre (NCC) - one of the seven High Value Manufacturing Catapult centres - and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) are collaborating to explore the art of the possible for the next generation of lightweight, strong and resilient combat aircraft composite structures. MMI Textiles setting up new production facility in NC

MMI Textiles, a global diversified supplier of industrial and custom fabrics and textile components with military, tactical, medical, commercial and apparel expertise, is setting up a new 30,000-square-foot production facility in North Carolina to produce select narrow fabrics. The facility will start production during the first quarter of 2021.

IGCV installs Samba Pro Prepreg at FPC

The Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology IGCV has installed a Samba Pro Prepreg production system from Cevotec at the Fibre Placement Centre (FPC) in Meitingen, Germany. The system is to be used for the purpose of developing automated CFRP production processes on the basis of the Fibre Patch Placement (FPP) technology.
