Shangrella MK Rajesh

Shangrella MK Rajesh is presently pursuing PhD from Bharathiar University. She is UGC NET qualified, double post graduate from two different universities, and has an extended experience in teaching and freelancing in the Designing field.  She been associated with NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Design Institute, University of Calicut. She has also worked for Kudumbashree units, Malayalam Manorama, KITCO and various NGOs across Kerala. Her forte lies in Fashion basics, Material studies, Pattern making, Garment construction, Draping, Value addition, Heritage couture women, Bespoke men, Performance clothing, and other fashion related areas.
She joined NIFT Kannur in 2014 as Assistant Professor in the Fashion Design department and now for the past eight years, she has been teaching there. She has work experience in academic, administrative, training, consultancy and research. External assignments include Government funded projects, and had also co-coordinated a project. She is a University Question Paper Setter and chairman for evaluation camp at university. She is also in the interview panel of one of the central universities, and has a few publications on her name. She has also presented several papers in the area of Fashion.
