M Parthiban, Assistant Professor (Sr.Gr) completed his doctorate (PhD) in the Faculty of Technology (2015) from Anna University, Chennai. He holds first class M.Tech (2005) in Textile Technology from A.C. College of Technology, an autonomous institution of Anna University, Chennai. He has done his B.Tech (2002) in Textile Technology from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology passing First Class with Distinction. He served as Lecturer in the Dept of Textile Chemistry for the period between July 2005-April 2007 at SSM College of Engineering, Komarapalayam and joined as Lecturer in the Dept of Fashion Tech at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore on June 2007. He has also served as a Design Engineer in Sharada Terry Products, Mettupalayam. He has published 32 articles in National and 15 in International Journals to his credit and has presented 10 papers in National and 7 in International Conferences. He has delivered special lectures in AICTE-FDP conducted by other colleges like Sona College of Technology, TIPS Global Institute, etc… He is currently writing a text book on "Functional Textiles & Clothing" & "Green Apparels" for Woodhead publishing India. He has been the Co-Investigator & successfully completed a sanctioned research project worth Rs.11.5 lakhs received from AICTE - Govt of India on "Development of durable antimicrobial facemask using natural fungal extract for healthcare applications".
