Wendy Wen
Senior General Manager & Director of the Board @ Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong)

Ms Wendy Wen holds a degree in economics from Peking University, and started her career at the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), a trade body established by the Central Government in 1952. She spent more than 10 years handling the affairs and development of trade shows that were held at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing. In 2003, Ms Wen joined Messe Frankfurt as Deputy General Manager of the company in Mainland China. Within the role, her responsibilities focused on setting up the firm’s Beijing office, and the recruitment and promotion of Chinese exhibitors to Messe Frankfurt’s network of exhibitions overseas. She utilised her expertise in China’s trade fair industry and her history of strong industry connections to build Messe Frankfurt’s outgoing business during China’s industrial boom. In 2007, Ms Wen relocated to Messe Frankfurt’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong, and became the Director of Textile Trade Fairs for Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. Within this role, Ms Wen oversees a portfolio of 11 fairs covering the three fields of apparel, home and technical textiles, including industry-renowned shows such as Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics, Intertextile Home Textiles and Cinte Techtextile China. Through Ms Wen’s direction, In November 2012, she was further promoted to Senior General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, and became Director of the Board , Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media (Shenzhen) Co Ltd.
