Project Description
Non-woven fabrics are not made by conventional weaving or knitting process, but are composed of ultra fine continuous fibres made from thermoplastics which are randomly laid to a web onto a conveyor belt and subsequently bonded together. They have the characteristics such as high liquid retention capacity due to high void content, high wear and tear resistance and high strength to weight ratio.
One of the techniques to manufacture non-woven fabric is Spunbonding. Spunbond fabrics are produced by depositing extruded, spun filaments onto a collecting belt in a uniform random manner followed by bonding the fibers.
