The Carded Nonwovens Technology Short Course combines classroom learning with hands-on activities in NWI's state-of-the-art fabrication and testing labs to provide attendees a fundamental understanding of the process of forming carded nonwoven webs. The course focuses on the importance of controlling structure-property-process relationships to optimize carded nonwoven materials to meet the requirements of the application. The course will cover fiber blending and composite formation, along with a focus on the needlepunching and hydroentangling bonding processes.
Upon completing the course, attendees will have a comprehensive grasp on carded nonwoven production processes, including raw material selection, basic science knowledge, testing, and the characterization used to create end-use products.
