Kimberly-Clark has been recognised for its excellence in cybersecurity awareness with CSO50 Award at the annual CSO50 Conference in Arizona, US. The firm has won the award for its highly regarded Protect K-C & Me programme, an information security awareness initiative designed to teach employees how to secure valuable information at work, home and on the go.

Kimberly-Clark's programme proactively educates employees about how to stay safe online through engaging activities along with metrics-driven social engineering drills that keep employees on their toes. Working with judges including security experts, academics and chief security officers (CSOs), the CSO50 Awards recognise organisations and individuals for programmes or initiatives that demonstrate outstanding business value and thought leadership.

"As enterprise technology rapidly advances and exposes new threats in the digital economy, we must be prepared to continuously improve our approach. It's an honour to receive this award because it demonstrates that large investments in security technology are inadequate without recognising employees are the best line of defense against cybercrime," said Victoria Thomas, information security awareness programme lead for Kimberly-Clark.

US based personal care corporation, Kimberly-Clark, is spread in more than 175 countries due to its health and hygiene products with brands such as Kleenex, Scott, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex and Depend. (PA)
