Appointment of non-executive director at Fiberweb

Fiberweb plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Hosty as a Non- Executive Director with effect from 10 September 2012. Dr Hosty will be a member of the Company's Nomination, Remuneration and Audit Committees.

Dr Hosty was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Morgan Ceramics Division of Morgan Crucible plc and joined the Morgan Crucible plc Board in July 2010. Before this appointment he held a number of senior positions within the Morgan Crucible Group including Chief Executive Officer of the Technical Ceramics Division from 2004 to July 2010. He is a Non-Executive Director of British Ceramic Research Limited and was President of the British Ceramics Confederation from 2003 to 2005. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield and is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

At the date of this notification, Dr Hosty has no beneficial holding in the Company.

Fiberweb Chairman, Malcolm Coster, commented:

There are no other matters relating to the new director which would require disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
