As the globally leading supplier in acoustic and thermal management solutions for vehicles, Autoneum recognises its corporate responsibility to continuously improve the sustainability of its products and processes. In the interest of transparent reporting, the company is committed to regularly informing the public about the most important activities and milestones concerning corporate social responsibility (CSR). To assess the quality of its own sustainability management system, Autoneum uses external platforms such as EcoVadis, which is the world’s largest provider of sustainability ratings with over 1,30,000 evaluated companies from more than 180 countries. In the 2024 assessment, Autoneum was awarded the EcoVadis gold medal for the second year in a row, placing it once again among the top 5 per cent of the companies assessed, the company said in a press release.
In last year’s EcoVadis sustainability rating, Autoneum had already improved from silver to gold and thus to the second-highest level of recognition. For 2024, the company was able to further increase its score in the overall assessment of the four categories environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement and maintain its EcoVadis gold status despite stricter evaluation criteria. Compared to the previous year, significant progress has been made in three categories, particularly in the areas of ethics and environment.
“We are very pleased that our sustainability performance has once again been rewarded with the EcoVadis gold medal,” said Pascaline Brégeon, head strategy and sustainability at Autoneum. “Sustainability is a key pillar of our strategy, and we are committed to ensuring that growth and corporate responsibility always go hand in hand at Autoneum. Awards from globally recognised rating agencies such as EcoVadis make our ongoing progress in the areas of environment, social, governance, human rights and compliance measurable and tangible and show that we are on the right track.”
