Autoneum unveils high-performance damping solution Autyl

AUTYL, Autoneum's new damping product, can be used in numerous body areas and it noticeably increases the acoustic comfort in vehicles. At the same time, the light weight of the high-performance damping solution allows it to contribute to lowering fuel consumption and thus also CO2 emissions.

With AUTYL, Autoneum, the world leader in vehicle acoustics and thermal management, is adding an innovative damping solution to its product portfolio.

AUTYL provides an optimal combination of high damping capacity and light weight and is suitable for use on the body shell and after painting, among other uses. Auto-motive manufacturers are thus given flexibility in choosing when the product is assembled in the vehicle production process.

Thanks to excellent adhesive properties, the damping solution can be applied to flat and shaped, but also vertical or horizontal body parts, such as the front wall, the body or the wheel wells.

Its multi-layer composition enables the new and light-weight damping solution from Autoneum, compared with conventional solutions and also sprayable products, to achieve better acoustic power and outperform to current environmental expectations and standards. AUTYL is already used by German vehicle manufacturers. Introduction on the market outside of Europe is in progress.
