Birla Carbon, one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality carbon-based solutions, has announced that three more of its manufacturing units – North Bend, US; Hamilton, Canada, and Santander, Spain have secured the ISCC PLUS Certifications.

“We are thrilled to announce that more of our plants, this time from the US, Canada, and Spain, have achieved the ISCC PLUS certification, marking a significant milestone in our sustainability journey. This achievement highlights our commitment to environmental stewardship and circularity through the provision of advanced products. As we continue to secure certifications globally, we are strengthening our dedication to sustainable and traceable practices, setting industry benchmarks, and moving towards a more sustainable future,” John Loudermilk, president and chief executive officer, Birla Carbon, said.

Earlier this year, Birla Carbon secured ISCC PLUS certifications for its facilities in Brazil, Hungary, North Bend, US, South Korea, Egypt, Italy, and three units in India. The certification process for the last three plants is ongoing and is expected to be completed by the end of CY2024, the company said in a press release.
