The R&D department at Bolger & O’Hearn has developed a comprehensive, time-tested line of PFAS-free water repellents and chief chemist, Frank Keohan, will be on hand at booth 2245 to answer questions.
Keohan will also deliver a campfire presentation on the show floor, on November 1. Titled ‘Rise of Fluorine-Free Repellents for Industrial PFAS Elimination’, Keohan’s talk will discuss how fluorine-free repellents work and the application conditions that are critical for obtaining maximum performance. Attendees will also learn about regulatory issues.
Attendees are invited to ask about Shell-Tech Free, one of B&O’s PFAS-free repellents. Shell-Tech Free provides the same repellency, wash durability and runnability as a quality C-6, has been engineered for both sustainability and easy application at the mill, and can be used on a vast array of end products including upholstery and outdoor textiles, the company said in a press release.
“Our PFAS-free repellents are manufactured in the US and have been developed to meet the textile industry’s growing demand for high performance finishes that offer new levels of protection and sustainability,” said Shaun O’Hearn, co-president of Bolger & O’Hearn. “Consumers are asking for both and we are committed to helping our customers meet that demand."
