A wide range of exhibitors from throughout the technical textiles industry are set to participate at Cinte Techtextil China from 24 to 26 September 2014 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Product groups and application areas at this year’s fair include technology and machinery, woven and knitted fabrics, nonwovens, coated textiles, composites, surface and bonding techniques, fibres and yarns, and more. The previous edition in 2012 attracted 437 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions.

The potential within China and the Asian region in the technical textiles industry has been a main reason many exhibitors have decided to participate this year, with a number returning after successful involvement at previous fairs. Austrian firm Lenzing AG will be at their fifth Cinte Techtextil China, and, according to Marketing Communication Manager Angelika Durz, the market in China is changing rapidly.

“We are experiencing fast-growing demand for our nonwoven products in China,” she said. “The business model in China has changed from one driven by the low-cost labour force to a focus on technology and private label manufacturing, and this is having a large impact on other Asian countries.”

Technology and machinery supplier ANDRITZ has had a presence in China for more than 20 years, and has exhibited at Cinte Techtextil China for the last decade. “China is an attractive country for the technical textiles and nonwovens industry,” believes Xiaomei Hu, a company representative of ANDRITZ (Wuxi) Nonwoven Technology. “There is great demand in this market due to the recent growth in the automotive, filtration, geo-textile and hygiene industries.”

Dutch company Stahl will bring their range of high-quality lacquers and coatings to the fair, including solvent-borne and waterborne vinyl / acrylic lacquers, SPVDF modified acrylic finishes and adhesion promoter.
