Curt G. Joa integrates with Bikoma GmbH

Curt G. Joa Europe GmbH, a global leader of custom and premium machinery to produce disposable products, has integrated with Bikoma GmbH, a top manufacturer, developer, and designer of special machines for the hygiene industry, relocating from Hamburg to Mayen, Germany.

The integration of JOA Europe with Bikoma creates one centralised European location for Curt G. Joa, Inc., the parent company of both brands. The move further strengthens Curt G. Joa, Inc.'s European presence by combining the JOA Europe sales staff with the strong infrastructure already established at the Mayen location.

In Mayen, Bikoma's facilities include 5700 square metres of space dedicated to engineering, testing, assembly, sales and research and development. This includes a new testing and assembly bay as well as sales offices built in 2013.

JOA executive vice president, Mike Brookins said, “By integrating JOA Europe with Bikoma, we can utilise all of our European resources from one location. Our Mayen location already offers so many assets, such as engineering and manufacturing, that it will be more beneficial to use it as our European headquarters.”

Curt G. Joa, Inc. president, Gene Kiela II said, “This combination of resources gives customers more flexibility for parts and technical support across broader Europe. This step is consistent with our efforts to operate as one global company with two brands, JOA and Bikoma.” (GK)
