Despatch Industries, the leader in thermal process technologies for carbon fiber production, announces that the company has recently received an order for production-scale oxidation ovens from a carbon fiber manufacturing company in Korea. This company purchased a Despatch pilot line in 2009 and has decided to purchase production-scale oxidation equipment after experiencing the benefits of Despatch's proven center-to-ends technology.

“We are pleased that this important customer has chosen to partner with us and utilize our center-to-ends oxidation ovens for their large-scale production,” states Ken Defiel, Global Carbon Fiber Sales Manager. “Our customer achieved exceptional processing results using our pilot line equipment, and we are excited they have selected Despatch again for the same great performance on a production-scale.”

Oxidation is a critical step in the production of carbon fiber and Despatch provides the world's leading oxidation technology. Despatch oxidation ovens feature patented, center-to-ends airflow that creates consistent process conditions with uniform temperatures in the working zones to ensure uniform, oxidized density fiber and higher yields by as much as thirty percent. The customer has chosen to purchase oxidation ovens that feature Despatch's latest innovation, Atmosphere Control Energy Reduction Technology. ACER Technology is a new air management system that provides significant reductions in energy consumption.
