For instance, Berry Plastics, the world's largest nonwovens company is setting up a new line in the US. Berry Plastics has also installed a new carding line in Italy, which has helped it to unveil several new products for the hygiene market.
One of the world's biggest marketer's of consumer hygiene products, Kimberly-Clark is also adding new lines for making baby wipes and diaper pants in Singapore. The company is also adding new capacity for producing products using its proprietary Coform technology in four countries, Brazil, Colombia, Singapore and South Korea.
Fitesa has also made a number of investments in spunmelt technology, among which are new lines in Germany, Brazil, Mexico and Sweden. Fitesa is also likely to install a new line in the US, although it has not come up with a specific time frame. (AR)
