Newport, UK-based Red Composites Ltd, Europe’s leading manufacturer of carbon and glass fibre Towpregs, has secured qualification and long-term supply agreements for use of its products at Draeger Safety Ltd. The Blyth, UK-based Draeger will utilise Towpregs to manufacture composite cylinders for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Composite tanks are a critical component to supply wearers such as firefighters with breathable air.
