Duni subsidiary Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB are set to invest approximately 110 MSEK, upgrading their two tissue machines in Skåpafors, Sweden.

The investment is expected to increase the tissue capacity at Rexcell by approximately 15 per cent annually.

Voith GmbH & CO KG has been selected as a supplier. This will be the second installation of a new technology in the world and the first in Europe. With this investment, Rexcell will have the possibility to develop a new quality standard for tissue napkins. The plan is to have the new technology installed during the second quarter of 2016, Duni said in a statement.

Thomas Gustafsson, president and CEO of Duni AB said, “As market leader in producing colored tissue for napkins we need to invest in higher efficiency and upgraded materials. This investment will give us the opportunity to develop new products in cooperation with our customers.”

Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Duni AB. Rexcell manufactures tissue and airlaid material for both Duni and external customers. Operations are conducted at two plants located in Skåpafors in Dalsland.

Duni is a leading supplier of attractive and convenient products for table setting and take-away. (GK)
