For the 2015 edition to be held in Athens, EDANA has named Robert Ward from the Economist Intelligence Unit as the keynote speaker and he will speak on ‘Global and EU Macroeconomic Outlook’.
Other confirmed speakers include, John Pollaro, president of John Pollaro Consulting who will present on ‘Disposable Absorbent Products – Is There Anything Left to Invent?’
Frank Wiesemann, principal scientist from Procter & Gamble will speak on improving the relevance and consistency of consumer associations’ testing.
Jonathan Bourget, director of Apis Rex Consulting on the role of private equity in the development of the nonwovens industry.
Karl-Michael Schumann, owner of Karl-Michael Schumann Consulting will share insights on an innovative approach to strategic raw materials.
David Dodwell, CEO of Strategic Access Limited will speak on ‘The Rise of China and the Asia-Pacific: Understanding the challenges, harnessing the opportunities’.
Other speakers include those from Dow, Eastman Georgia Pacific and LG Chem on the key new material developments, and coverage of the evaluation of nonwovens materials softness and lessons from the testing of tissue.

According to EDANA, the conference offers updates on market growth and opportunities, innovations and information on technological developments for the diaper, wet wipe and incontinence products.
“Furthermore, Outlook delivers a wealth of economic information that enables business decisions for the future, gathering the supply chain in one place,” the nonwovens association noted.
