E.J. Krause & Associates (EJK) held a nonwovens exhibition and conference, ANDTEX, in Thailand recently. Nonwovens and engineered material producers, researchers, and industry leaders gathered to explore new business opportunities for nonwovens and disposable hygiene technology at the Southeast Asia nonwovens and disposable hygiene technology expo.
The three-day programme was supported by the Thai Ministry of Industry, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Thailand Textile Institute (THTI), Thai Man-Made Fibre Industries Association (TMFA), National Metal and Materials Technology Centre (MTEC), Centre of Excellence in Textile, Chulalongkorn University, and many of the key international nonwoven industry associations, according to a press release on the show.E.J. ANDTEX 2019 was deemed a successful new launch for the Southeast Asian market, opening its doors to close to 3,000 visitors from 32 countries. The launch came as a follow-up to EJK’s management of ANEX Japan, on behalf of the ANFA and ANNA associations.
The show floor was sold out with over 200 exhibitors from 14 countries. The exhibition showcased raw materials, chemicals, filtration technology, machinery, equipment, finished products, and services to name a few. Over 100 private meetings were pre-set with exhibitors and buyers from all over the globe. Accompanying the exhibition was a two-day high profile conference programme, which delivered views from leading experts on the development of the industry. The conference specifically highlighted the latest on technical innovations, products, services and a future outlook of nonwovens industry in Thailand, Southeast Asia, and around the globe.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Apichin Chotikasathien, deputy permanent secretary of the ministry of industry, under the theme ‘Thai Nonwovens a Regional Hub.’ (GK)
