Filati Color launches a new Line of Technical Yarn

Reacting to the increasing market demand for high performance products, Filati Color is enhancing its portfolio with the line Hi-tech Yarn with ADVANSA`s engineered fibres.

With a history dating back to 1958, Filati Color ( Filmar Spa), an innovative Italian manufacturer of dyed cotton based yarns, is now displaying its product development capacity offering a diverse range of technical spun yarns for body thermoregulation. The new yarns are suitable for hosiery, circular knitting, rectilinear knitting and weaving.

In partnership with ADVANSA, Filati Color is setting a benchmark of superior quality and functionality, with a choice of ADVANSA´s special fibres: HI.TECH YARN is the new dyed yarn collection that FILATI COLOR has dedicated to Coolmax® and ADVANSA Thermo°Cool® made with the exclusive Futura Maximizer technology.

“When we decided to increase our offer with technical yarns,” confirms Enrico Marzoli, Group Director of Filati Color, “we have considered several types of special fibres that would combine their unique properties with the spinning technology of Futura, used for the production of Maximizer yarns.

These are ideal to make fabrics and garments with reduced pilling effect, even after repeated washings, better stability and cleaner aesthetics. The choice was naturally on ADVANSA´s special fibres used for the production of the high performance fabrics Coolmax® and ADVANSA Thermo°Cool®, well-known brands for body thermoregulation in sport apparel, hosiery and underwear”.

Filati Color´s colour card shows a selection of 32 basic colours, with 13 available in Ne 18/1, ideal for the hosiery segment. Finer counts like Ne 40/1 are available on specific request.
