Olli Hanninen has been appointed as the senior vice president (VP) of strategy at Valmet, effective October 1, 2024. He will report to president and CEO Thomas Hinnerskov and will join Valmet’s executive team.

Hanninen has held various management roles in Kone's services business from 2014 to 2024, culminating as senior vice president of service business. Before Kone, he was an associate partner at McKinsey & Company from 2004 to 2014.

Hänninen will be based at Valmet’s head office in Espoo, Finland, the company said in a press release.

To facilitate our journey in this next chapter, we wanted to further strengthen the executive team with a dedicated strategy focused role, and I am pleased to have Hänninen joining Valmet as SVP, strategy.
