French firm Spoolex presents Calemard at ANEX in Korea

France-based Spoolex is involved in the engineering and the production of converting equipment for web formed products.

Spoolex exhibited its Calemard brand at ANEX event in Korea. ANEX is the Asia Nonwovens Exhibition which was first held in Japan in 2000. Organised by the Asia Nonwoven Fabrics Association (ANFA), the ANEX event in Asia is part of a three-year cycle of global events in rotation with North America (IDEA by INDA) and Europe (INDEX by EDANA).

The fifth edition of ANEX was held in Seoul, Korea from June 13-15.

Calemard brand is the specialist for slitting and spooling in highly technical and demanding applications. Different slitting and spooling lines are available depending on your needs: product sensitivity, spool capacity, strip width, speed...

In 1998, based on its 10 year experience and around 70 slitting and spooling lines installed in various industries, Calemard presented the Taurus line to the ADL (Acquisition & Distribution Layer) producers. Today, after having already delivered more than 60 spooling heads worldwide, Calemard has recently launched its latest version of the Pegase II.

The Pegase II has been developed to slit and spool sensitive nonwovens.

The targets: to produce jumbo rolls and to guarantee no stress, no tension, no elongation, no twist on the nonwovens strips. The spooling technology has been engineered to respond to the ADL producers' need to improve productivity, mainly for baby diaper production lines, by producing jumbo spools at high speed (up to 600 m/min).

These jumbo spools hold 12 to 40 km of ADL to give roughly 10 times running time of slit pancakes on a diaper line. This third generation of Pegase uses state of the art technical solutions: accurate web regulation tension, very precise web guiding and strip conveying, wide double shaft unwinder for up to 850 mm mother roll loading down time, and various options for productivity improvement (VPN liaison, production parameter acquisition, pneumatic counter-cutter shaft…).

In addition, Calemard range of wide slitter-rewinders offers at the same time state of the art technologies, a high reliability and versatility, combined with easy handling. Calemard equipment processes various kinds of wide web into narrow strips to produce compact rolls with optimised product lengths.
