German cutting systems maker Aichele to set up US plant

Germany based Aichele Werkzeuge GmbH and a manufacturer of rotary cutting systems for the hygiene, nonwoven and paper industries is setting up a production unit in Gaston County in the US.

Aichele Werkzeuge has bought a six-acre plot in Gastonia Technology Park and will invest around $2 million to set up the project, which will service customers in the American market.

Aichele Werkzeuge, GmbH a family owned company with over 70 years behind it, specializes in machine construction, developing effective and customized solutions ranging from the rotary cutting unit for existing production lines to complete cutting solutions.

“We’re pleased and very grateful that the Aichele family chose to build their first operation here in Gastonia,” said Gastonia Mayor John Bridgeman.
