Hexcel, a world leader developing in prepregs for primary and secondary aircraft structures, is set to exhibit at Air Show China 2016, in Zhuhai, China, to support customers in the Chinese aerospace industry and promote a range of composite technologies for civil aircraft, engines, and helicopter programs, from November 1 to 6, 2016, in stand H3F1.
Hexcel has a dedicated sales office including customer service and technical support in Shanghai and an industrial prepreg plant in Tianjin.Hexcel, a world leader developing in prepregs for primary and secondary aircraft structures, is set to exhibit at Air Show China 2016, in Zhuhai, China, to support customers in the Chinese aerospace industry and promote a range of composite technologies for civil aircraft, engines, and helicopter programs, from November 1 to 6, 2016, in stand H3F1.#
At Air Show China, Hexcel will display a section of a composite beam manufactured from Hexcel's HexPly M21 unidirectional carbon fibre prepreg in which the fibre tows are all oriented in the same direction for optimal stiffness and strength. The beam was manufactured by hot forming the prepreg in a new cost-effective alternative to autoclave-curing for aircraft structures.
The HexPly M21 and HexPly M91 families of prepreg offer outstanding all round levels of performance for airframe components on commercial aircraft including regional jets and are suitable for automated and manual lay-up and forming of aircraft structures. The materials are manufactured with a tightly controlled cure ply thickness thanks to Hexcel's state-of-the art production technologies, including online monitoring. (GK)
