INDA announces RISE Durable Product Award finalists

The finalists have been selected for the prestigious 3rd annual RISE Durable Product Award and the Award will be presented at the annual RISE Conference in Denver, Colorado USA. 
 
Three unique durable products were chosen for their innovative use of nonwovens. The finalists will make their product presentations at the 4th annual RISE Conference, organized by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry and held September 30-October 3, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt in Denver, Colorado.
 
Following the presentations, RISE attendees will cast their vote for the recipient of the 2013 RISE?Durable Products Award. 
 
The three RISE Durable Product Award finalists are:
 
1. Bonar: Colback Profloor is a nonwoven backing that improves the tuftability for carpet producers. Along with enhanced tuftability, Profloor has a greater stitch holding performance and provides improved carpet appearance. 
2. Dell Seven & GMX, Inc.: ThermalDrain is a patented synthetic protection board for below grade waterproofing that is an alternative to fiberglass. ThermalDrain is durable with no skin irritation, easy to install, formaldehyde-free and has excellent drainage. 
3. RIT International: NLITe Nanofiber Light Improvement Technology is an innovative technology platform for the lighting industry using nonwovens. This technology can be applied to any lighting fixture that creates 20% more light while using 0% more energy. NLITe provides efficient light diffusion and improved glare resistance for overall better light quality. 
 
The recipient of the RISE Durable Product Award will be announced Thursday morning, October 3rd. 
 
Now in its 4th year, RISE connects technical innovations in engineered fabrics with practical product applications. It has rapidly developed into the premier conference for technical and marketing executives in the nonwoven/engineered fabrics industry who are charged with finding new applications, new technology and new ideas to help grow their businesses.
