With India’s technical textiles market—the fifth largest in the world with a size of $22.5 billion in 2021-22—growing at 9-10 per cent per annum in the last five years, the country’s textiles ministry will soon organise ‘Technotex 2023: Envisioning Indian Technical Textiles@ 2047’ in Mumbai, aligning with government efforts to make India a top technical textiles manufacturing hub.To be held from February 22 to 24, the event will be organised in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce Industry (FICCI). The first edition of Technotex was organised in 2011 and the event is into its 10th edition this year.
The event is expected to attract more than 150 technical textiles exhibitors and over 250 buyers from more than 30 countries, an official release said.
