Indorama Ventures is adding 15,000 tons of extrusion-based fibre spinning capacity to the Auriga Polymers manufacturing site in Spartanburg, SC in the US.

“With this new expansion, Auriga Polymers will be able to produce fibres based on environmentally-friendly polymers such as PLA as well as specialty polyester and post-consumer recycled polymers,” it added.
Many of these fibres are also being currently being produced by other manufacturing companies in the Indorama Ventures group companies.
“Indorama Ventures is constantly evolving its portfolio and technologies to help our customers grow,” Tom Brekovsky, VP Polymers and Fibres at Auriga Polymers said.
“This added capacity increases Auriga's position to support our customers who are seeing growing demand for specialty materials in all sectors of the nonwovens marketplace,” he too added.
According to Indorama, Auriga's staple fibres have been setting a high standard in the US marketplace for many years.
