Lukas Novak from the Czech team bagged the title of ‘Toughest Firefighter Alive’ (TFA) for protective clothing made from Lenzing FR at the recently held Interschutz trade show in Hannover.

According to a Lenzing press release, equipped with protective clothing made of Lenzing FR, he overcame competition from 327 global competitors and was selected as the TFA World Champion.

Additionally, Pavel Kubin and Petr Vyhnalek, who also presented protective clothing made from Lenzing FR fibres, also bagged second and fourth places in the individual competition.

The Czech TFA National Team drove into the competition in specially-designed, customised firefighting clothing - GoodPRO FR 4 FireBull supplied by Vochoc, integrating Lenzing FR fibres.

Vochoc is one of the leading manufacturers of protective clothing, whose clothing feature a large share of Lenzing FR fibres.

The company has participated in the Lenzing FR Quality Partner program since 2011 and the GoodPRO suits stand out, due to their extraordinary quality and outstanding wearing comfort.

“Flame-resistant Lenzing FR fibre is used in numerous applications, providing optimal protection against various sources of heat,” Lenzing informed.

“Unique heat insulation properties combined with permanent flame resistance make Lenzing FR the preferred heat protection fibre,” Lenzing said.

“Due to the natural origin of Lenzing FR in light of the fact that the fibre is produced from wood, it boasts good moisture management, thus reducing the deadly risk of heat stroke,” the fibre producer added. (AR)
