Consumers are increasingly environmentally conscious - do without amenities like almost no one want. With fibers of the renewable resource wood Lenzing provides sustainable solutions on a global scale.

On 23 - 25 April 2013 to meet the global business of the nonwovens industry at IDEA in Miami, USA. Consumers eighth still very many on sustainable products; thereby purchasing decisions throughout the supply chain will be affected. In the election of Lenzing fibers as raw material consumers get products that connect from the start of performance, convenience and environmental responsibility.

The IDEA is with over 375 exhibitors from more than 70 countries and an estimated audience of more than 6,000 visitors for 3 days focal point for the entire nonwovens supply chain “The IDEA is a global exhibition. We will meet this year in Miami all of our direct and indirect customers throughout the value chain,” says Elizabeth Stanger, Global Marketing Director. “In this way we learn the customer needs to know better and can provide our innovative strength with individual solutions to the test."

Lenzing focuses of this year's appearance on the hygiene segment. In sensitive applications with direct skin contact Lenzing fibers are by their botanical origin of the ideal raw material for sustainable products with a positive impact on future generations. Under the slogan "Green solutions for hygiene products" makes Lenzing TENCEL and especially the new, hydrophobic fiber TENCEL Biosoft for hygienic applications in the foreground.

Wolfgang Plasser, Nonwoven Fibers Vice President, commented: "Our aim is to optimize the interaction between functionality and sustainability. This allows consumers to use disposable products with a clear conscience. Our new fiber TENCEL Biosoft is the ideal fiber to take with regard to foot hygiene applications. We are present in Miami for the first time a prototype of sanitary napkins and panty liners with a top sheet of 100% TENCEL Biosoft. "

The requirements on the topmost layer of a feminine hygiene product are high: liquids are to be taken up rapidly and leave as little as possible to the skin to ensure a company is and dry feeling in the application. TENCEL Biosoft exceeds this claim in terms of a botanical appreciation: from the renewable resource wood fiber itself to environmentally friendly product.
